It seems as if something is wrong with Internet Explorer security and it is not opening the visio file in the proper zone when I try to load it from the local hard drive. However an HTML file on my hard drive will open in the "computer" zone. I get no warning bar at the top of internet explorer. When clicking a file on the hard drive or in an email message I do not get the warning bar. 2 hours ago &0183 &32 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. I get warning bar at the top of the page but if I click allow then the file is displayed normally. However if I copy the file to a usb data stick then it will open the file in the "computer" zone. Security settings but this does not seem to change this behaviour.
When I click on a visio file in an email or on the hard disk internet explorer 7 opens in the restricted sites zone and all I see is blank page. I installed visio viewr 2007 (and the update for it) but it is not working as exepcted.
